GOLF CART ETV/UTV

REGISTRATION AND TERMS OF USE

1. Vehicle owner agrees to release the Harbor Point Property Owners Assn., its Board of Directors, Officers  and employees from liability caused by a golf cart, side by side ETV/UTV or to a golf cart, side by side  ETV/UTV from any Harbor Point facility, roads or other common areas.

2. ATV's (As defined by the manufacturer) along with  ALL single and tandem seat and 3 wheel vehicles are  PROHIBITED .

3. Commercial manufactured golf carts, side by side ETV/UTV's only. No home built or kit vehicles  allowed.

a. Gas powered (4 cycle),diesel or electric golf carts, side by side ETV/UTV's allowed.

     1, Gas and diesel powered vehicles must be maintained to factory specifications and NO modifications   to the engine or muffler system, and  no fuel or oil leaks are allowed.

     2. Maximum speed limit is 25 mph.

     3. Vehicles must NOT be operated in a careless or reckless                manner or in a manner which   damages any operating surface.   Alcohol use during operation is prohibited.

4. All vehicles must be of four-wheel style and 6 wheel side by side dual cab are allowed.

5. Only vehicles equipped with both front and rear lights may be operated at night.

6. All vehicle owners are required to follow all rules pertaining to any type of motor vehicle operating on  public roads in the State of Texas and have a valid driver's license. In order to operate on Harbor Point  roads, children under 16 MUST be accompanied by a licensed driver in the front seat. Children with a  motor vehicle learners permit must also be accompanied by a licensed driver in the front seat.

7. A violation of paragraph 6 above will be treated as a curable violation for the first violation. Any  subsequent violation will be treated as a non-curable violation under the Board Resolution on Enforcement  Action.

8. A flag on a six foot pole or a TXDOT slow moving vehicle triangle should be mounted on the rear of each  vehicle. Vehicles with operating rear lights need not display the flag or triangle.

9. All vehicles require a unique sticker (no longer the same as for regular motor vehicles).  An initial registration fee of $10.00 will be charged to cover the cost of the sticker and registration. The valid sticker is blue and white and will be issued at the time of  registration at the HP office and placed on the vehicle either on the bottom left side of the windshield or an a conspicuous location on the body of the vehicle.  You will keep that sticker as long as you have that golf cart or side by side ETV/UTV and it is in operating condition. 

10. Please notify the office if you sell or permanently remove the vehicle from Harbor Point.
